NEWTON - When Debra Freligh, president and CEO of DMF Media Services, LLC, was contacted to become a sponsor of the first croquet tournament at Sussex County Community College, she knew immediately it was a “win-win” situation. “I was excited about the opportunity to give back to the college,” said Freligh. “SCCC was one of my first clients and I’m delighted for the chance to support their scholarship program and have some fun, too.” “Debra Freligh provides outstanding client services and develops confidential marketing strategies to meet our goals at the same time offering outstanding and certainly uncommon customer service,” declared Linda Nieman, executive director of advancement and planning at the college. The croquet tournament and wine tasting will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, on the Connor Green at the college, located at One College Hill Rd. in Newton. Sponsorships are available by calling Nieman at 973-300-2124. Croquet expertise is not necessary. Instructors will be available to help every step of the way. “As an educational institution, we’re in the business of teaching,” said Dr. Bradley Gottfried, college president. “Everyone remembers playing croquet at some point in their lives. This is a chance to relearn the game and have fun doing it.”
