    High Point 4, Lenape 2 Goalkeeper Lauren Fasano excelled between the pipes, stopping 17 shots on goal to spur High Point to a 4-2 upset over Lenape Valley in a Sussex County Interscholastic League field hockey match on Friday. The win raised the Wildcats record to 5-5 and kept them in contention for a NJSIAA post-season playoff berth while the Patriots dropped to 7-2. Fasano was chosen the SCIL/Richards and Summers Player of the Week. Becky Pehacker and Corey Van Orden scored two goals apiece with Kaiti Robertazzi dishing off a pair of assists. Sarah Bell, Samantha Gardner and Jess Grimm were also credited with assists. Lenape 8, Hopatcong 1 On Saturday, Lenape Valley rocked Hopatcong 8-1 as Lisa Duckles scored twice and dished off an assist. Krystra Arbolina and Kelly Huber chipped in with a goal and assist apiece while Alicia Gallagher, Britt Holl, Tempe Newson and Kristen Pridgeon completed the scoring parade. PJ 3, Hopatcong 0 Meredith Harclerode netted a pair of goals as Pope John blanked Hopatong 3-0 on Friday. Megan Hoffnagle also scored with Mallory Clark picking up an assist while goalie Gabby Luong made one official save. Newton 1, Jefferson 0 Dani Jones came up with five saves as Newton shut out Jefferson 1-0. Amanda Miller tallied the only goal in the second half off a feed from Kelly Chruchill. Vernon 2, Sparta 0 Kaitlin Umstead stopped seven shots on goal as Vernon blanked Sparta 2-0. Amanda Matos and Lyndsey Morris scored with Melissa Starkpole recording an assist.
