    Sparta 39, High Point 20 Sparta locked up possession of the 2005-2206 SCIL regular-season championship banner by trouncing High Point on Friday. Kelly Kiel netted a game-high 14 points, and Staci Rossi chipped in with an 11-point effort. The win raised the Lady Spartans’ record in the league to 16-0 with two games remaining. Whitney Dugan tallied a game-high 16 points as she converted eight of nine opportunities at the free throw line while Jess Doherty tossed a dozen points into the basket. Wallkill 62, Vernon 33 Diane Washer tickled the twine with a team-high 15 points, and Jami Gagg netted 10 points as 10 Lady Rangers scored in a rout of Vernon on Friday. The Lady Vikings’ Alicia Yaccarino tallied a game-high 18 points. Wallkill 87, Lenape 44 Two days earlier, Gagg scored a school-record 44 points in a triumph over Lenape Valley. Gagg not only broke her five-day-old girls’ record but also the school record as she connected on 14 of 26 attempts from the field including six treys while converting 10 of 16 at the foul line. Lenape 48, PJ 37 Lenape Valley had built up a 25-13 advantage by the halftime break when it defeated Pope John. Lenape’s Kristen Johnson topped all scorers when she pumped 16 through the cords.
