    Sparta 2, Hackettstown 0 Sparta sent a message that it will contend for post-season honors when the Lady Spartans defeated Hackettstown 2-0 in a girls' volleyball match on Friday. Sparta won by scores of 25-21 and 25-21 in raising its record to 6-1. Sarah Jankowitz excelled for Sparta, delivering four service aces, blocking 10 shots, spiking four kills and scooping up six digs. Casey Roselle and Katherine Wilson picked up four digs apiece with Gulce Askin and Baylera Sperring dishing off three assists each. Vernon 2, West Orange 0 On Saturday, Vernon routed West Orange, winning by scores of 25-18 and 25-12. Kelly Kuzicki keyed the win in the opening game, delivering 10 straight service points. Vernon 2, Passaic Tech 0 A day earlier, the Vikings romped to a 2-0 victory Passaic Tech, posting scores of 25-9 and 25-23. Nicole Locher spiked six kills and blocked a shot while Kristin Buurman served four straight aces.
