    Sparta 5, Wallkill 2 Mike Long and Travis Ryoul reached the 700 plateau on Wednesday afternoon to highlight the SCIL bowling competition at Sparta Lanes. Long put together scores of 278-219-223 to finish with a three-game pin count of 720 as Sparta increased its record to 63-7 by defeating Wallkill Valley 5-2. Newton 5, Lenape 2 Ryoul strung scores of 231-212-257 to post a 700 series in leading Newton to a 5-2 victory over Lenape Valley. Teammate Aaron Danielson chipped in with a 670 series. High Point 5, Hopatcong 2 High Point strengthened its hold on the runner-up slot at 45-25 by topping Hopatcong 5-2. Jesse Rizzo turned in a team-high 610 series while Andrew Malone finished with a 575 pin fall. Hopatcong’s Ryan Van Moerkerken led all keglers in the match with a 652 series that included a 238 game. Vernon 7, Sussex Tech 0 Vernon swept Sussex Tech 7-0 as Kelsey DeJesus put together a 613 series that included a 244 game. David Kinney chipped in with a 606 series and a 236 game.
