Martinek, who finished with 221 yards on 23 carries, set a New Jersey career rushing record two minutes into the second quarter when he raced around the right end for 28 yards to the Cougars’ 14-yard line, breaking the existing standard of 6,720 yards set by Keyport’s Kenny Cattouse in 2003. John Chirico completed the scoring in the fourth quarter when he scampered 16 yards to paydirt.
