Cliff Back Invitational In the 35th Annual Cliff Back Invitational contested Friday on the campus of Drew University in Madison, Sparta’s Paul Shupak won the 55-meter high hurdles in 7.84 seconds. He added a bronze medal in the 55-meter dash. Indoor Relays Pope John’s sprint medley relay quartet of Lauren Bariexca, Sarah Bieganousky, Emily Carrollo and Tara Downing set a new Lady Lions’ and meet record of 4:19.3 in racing to a gold medal in the New Jersey Catholic Track Conference Indoor Relay Championships at the Armory Center in New York City on Monday. Noelle Marra, Emily Smith and the Bieganousky sisters, Carolyn and Sarah, took second in the shuttle hurdles while setting a new PJ record of 36.1. In the 800-meter relay Carolyn Bieganousky, Carrollo, Downing and Marra posted a new PJ mark of 1:49.50 in placing second. Erin Conway and Briana Perez won the shot put relay with 64-9.
