WEST MILFORD – The Highlanders boys lacrosse team responded to an 8-6 loss to Tenafly on April 2 by going on a winning streak.
“We're playing as team and taking one game at a time,” Head Coach Gary Stoll said.
Wednesday’s 10-8 win over West Orange made it four in a row following a landslide victory over Pompton Lakes on Monday.
The final score to that match was 18-4.
After each team scored two goals in the opening quarter, West Milford scored another six in the second while holding the Cardinals scoreless.
The Highlanders would score another seven goals in the final quarter, with senior Raymond Gorny leading the way with eight in the game.
Sophomore Casey Fagan scored four goals as well, while freshmen Aidan Bolger and Dylan Connors both scored multiple goals in the match.
Fagan now has 17 goals for the season while Gorny has 20.
The landslide 18-4 victory over Pompton Lakes on Monday made it three wins in a row.

Going into Monday’s contest, the Highlanders were coming off of another big win over Paramus Catholic.
In that game, West Milford led in every quarter, scoring 10 goals in the first half while allowing just two from the Paladins.
The final score was 16-3.
Goalie Ryan Kirwan has now allowed just 13 goals thus far in the season.
Gorny led the team in scoring in that contest as well with six goals and the Highlanders had four other players pitch in with multiple goals.
Fagan, Bolger, senior Shane Fava, and freshman Ashton Stymacks all had two goals apiece.
Before that game, West Milford was coming off a big division victory over Saddle Brook on April 4 that kicked off the winning streak.
The Highlanders opened that match strong and finished the same way, scoring five goals in the first quarter and another four in the fourth.
The final score was 12-5.
Gorny (4) and Fagan (3) led the way in scoring in that match yet again, with Connors recording two goals as well.
West Milford is now 5-2 on the year.
