WEST MILFORD The Knights of Columbus District 40 Basketball Free Throw contest was hosted by the Father Koch Council 6343, from St. Josephs Parish on Saturday Feb. 4, 2012. District 40 is made up of five local Knights of Columbus Councils, including are the Joseph Lamb Council from St. Thomas Church in Jefferson, Our Lady Queen of Peace Council from Our Lady Queen of Peace in Hewitt, St. Catherine of Bologna Council from St. Catherine in Ringwood, Father Francis Koch Council from St. Joseph in West Milford and St. John Vianney Council from St. John Vianney in Stockholm.
The winners in the girls division were:
10-year-old Caitlyn Eufer from St. Catherines Council
11-year-old Sarah Latza from St. Catherines Council
12-year-old Michelle Froehlich from St. Catherines Council
13-year-old Brielle Mulvihill from the Father Koch Council
14-year-old Tess Korinko from Father Koch Council
The winners in the boys division were:
10-year-old Justin Carmosino from St. Catherines Council
11-year-old Brandon Carmosino from St. Catherines Council
12-year-old Shane Plokhoy from Father Koch Council
13-year-old Brandon Allen from St. Catherines Council
These winners now advance to the regional finals to be held on Sunday Feb. 26, 2012 at St. Virgils Parish in Morris Plains.
