WEST MILFORD — Girls interested in field hockey, listen up. Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 9 and continuing for eight weeks through Feb. 27, the West Milford Community Services and Recreation is holding an indoor field hockey clinic. It is for girls in grades five through eight and is run by the West Milford high School field hockey head coach Krista Provost.
Players will focus on game situations and scrimmage, allowing them to get more practice time to further develop skills for the high school level. Although this is considered a more advanced clinic, beginners are welcome.
All participants must bring a field hockey ball and stick, approved eye goggles, mouth guard, shin guards and a water bottle.
The clinic will be held in the Hillcrest gym, 1810 Macopin Road, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The cost is $91 for the eight-week session. Non-residents of West Milford pay an additional $10.
