Pope John remained unbeaten, coasting to a 48-12 victory over Vernon as Jeremy Tucker carried 13 times, gaining 311 yards on the ground including TD runs of 78, 20, 75 and 71 yards. Fullback Connor McGrath, who toted the ball nine times, churning out 63 yards rushing, added a 15-yard TD run in the second quarter while tight end Theo Lusardi pulled in a 45-yard TD pass from quarterback Eugene McCarthy. Freshman Mike Delaney closed out the scoring when he scampered 20 yards to paydirt in the third quarter.
