WEST MILFORD — The West Milford Girls Softball Association has announced that their Senior League, open to girls age 14 through 17, is now accepting registrations for the 2014 season. The Senior League is a natural progression into high school-age softball that allows girls the opportunity to continue playing recreation level softball from freshman to senior year.
Even if you haven’t played softball in a few years, the Senior League encourages you to join for a fun-filled season. The league is looking for girls who wish to continue playing softball in the West Milford Girls Softball Association recreation league throughout high school. Current or former high school or WMGSA recreation league softball players are all welcome.
In 2013, the Senior League completed a very successful season, playing against towns such as Sparta, Sussex, Wantage and Jefferson. Game schedules are specifically designed to work well with the busy schedules of high school students, including those currently playing for a high school team.
Registration for the 2014 season will be March 15 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Hillcrest Community Center, 1810 Macopin Road. Registrations may also be submitted at the Hillcrest Community Center by filling out the available registration forms in the main office anytime. Leave the completed registration in an envelope, along with a check for $100, made payable to WMGSA, in the WMGSA mailbox.
The association holds its meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at the Hillcrest Community Center at 8 p.m. All interested parents and volunteers are encouraged to attend and be part of your daughters’ softball experience as she grows and meets new friends from all over town.
