    Liberty Half-Marathon Newton’s Andrew Latincsics paced a large contingent of local runners to the finish of 13th Annual Newport Liberty Waterfront Half Marathon in Hudson County on Sunday. The 40-year-old crossed the line tenth in the field of 784 runners, posting a time of 1:11:23. Lake Hopatcong’s 41-year-old Julie Amsallen was the first local female runner to finish, pacing 28th among the 298 females in the event with a time 1:34:22. The 33-year-old Valeich was clocked in 2:23:29 as he crossed the line 87th in the field of 618 runners, while the 31-year-old Staple followed in 88th place, posting a clocking of 2:23:35. Kelly finished 90th overall, as the 26-year-old placed 11th among the 205 females in the event with a time of 2:23:51. In the boys 17-and-under age division, Stanhope’s 14-year-old Steven Lange posted the fastest time of 2:25:59 while Sparta’s 15-year-old Michael Yanoso was runnerup with a clocking of 3:18.46.
