WEST MILFORD Area high school and middle school baseball players may tryout for West Milford's Select College Bound and Connie Mack 18/19U, Mickey Mantle 16U, Ken Griffey 15U, and Sandy Koufax 14U travel club teams on Sundays, March 18 and 25.
All tryouts will be at the Westbrook School complex, with the 18/19U Select and Mack, plus the 16U Mantle teams meeting from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by the Griffey 15U and Koufax 14U teams from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
The teams will compete in the College Bound Select 8 League and the North Jersey/Lower New York American Amateur Baseball Congress Leagues with the 18/19U and 16U playing during the months of June and July while the 15U and 14U teams have been entered in spring and summer leagues.All squads will be entered in out of state tournaments to Doubleday Field, Cooperstown, N.Y.,from July 2 to 4, and Montreal, Canada,from July 5 to 8.
Each team can advance to league, state, regional, and World Series tournaments toward the end of July.
