West Milford Wildcats U-14 Girls undefeated

WEST MILFORD —The West Milford Wildcats Girls U-14 Traveling soccer team went undefeated in two consecutive leagues - the winter indoor Turf City as stage III champions, winning all in-league games, and in Morris County Spring League as U-14G5 champs, posting a record of 7 wins, 3 ties and 0 losses. In the Morris County traveling spring circuit, the Wildcats continued their aggressive team play. Coaches were impressed with the decisions the girls were making on and off the field, the respect for other players and their attentiveness to the coaches directions, all having a lot to due to their success. Competition was tough and the Wildcats had to win the last 3 games of the season to take first, and they did just that. The Wildcats scored an average of about 2 goals/game, allowed only 6 goals in all season and posted 5 shutouts. The team had a couple of come from behind wins, which showed that they work well under pressure, and that they never gave up. Head coach Rick Ashley said he couldn’t have had a better group of players and credits their success with not only hard work and dedication, but also his coaching staff - Al Decker, Dean Monti and Dave Siljanovski.
