WEST MILFORD Shortly before Christmas Day, the West Milford PAL Wildcats-7 stoned Rockaway 49-29 in their Lakeland JV League matchup at the PAL Building. The Wildcats’ tenacious full court pressure defense put the visitors back on their heels right from the start. West Milford’s hustle and timely shooting decided this game early in the third period. Newly named tri-captains Josh Basket and Garvin Jones paced the Wildcats-7 with 10 points apiece, while Aidan Stewart (7), captain Tyler Maurer (6), Casey Terramoccia (5), Nick Conlon (5), Alex Malaguti (4), and John Quazza (2) helped light up the scoreboard for the home team. Jones added 4 assists. On defense, Jones swiped 5 Rockaway passes, while Maurer picked off 4 more. Conlon (6 rebounds), Stewart (6), Jones (5), Terramoccia (4), Basket (4), Maurer (4), Quazza (4), and John Buechel (3) dominated the boards for West Milford.
