WEST MILFORD - High School soccer star Austin McQuade recently received several recognitions for his prowess on the field, WMHS Head Soccer Coach Ray Ferriola said.
Ferriola said Mcquade was one of the senior captains of the West Milford High School boys soccer team this past fall, and was just named to the First-Team North 1 Sectional All-State soccer team.
He was also named All-Passaic County first team, All Big North Independent Division First Team and Second Team All State for the top 45 field players by SCANJ - which means he was voted in the top 30 field players for public schools in the entire state, Ferriola said.
Austin was a four-year varsity player, scoring 21 goals this season, which Ferriola believes is a West Milford high school boys soccer record.
He also had 10 assists.
He led all Passaic County soccer players in goals this year and was one of only four county players to be a unanimous first team selection, Ferriola said.
