On Sunday, May 14, the West Milford Wolverines 12U Baseball Club arrested the NJ Outlaws 3-2 in the first game of their Cerbo Spring League doubleheader in Montville. Karl Pappacena (Win, 2-IP, 2-K) and Austin Griffiths (Save, 4-IP, 0-R) pitched well for West Milford. The Wolverines scored all of their runs in the second frame when Dan DeBlock smashed a 2-RBI base hit, scoring John Buechel and Anthony Olcay with West Milford’s first two runs. Two batters later, Griffiths laced an RBI single to give the visitors a 3-0 lead. The Wolverines’ defense was outstanding all game long, as six Outlaw runners were gunned down at home plate throughout the afternoon.
