St. Joe's fifth annual Mass of Thanksgiving

WEST MILFORD — On September 10, at 10:30 a.m., the parishioners of Saint Joseph Church will assemble for a Mass of Thanksgiving to honor the township’s emergency response personnel. This special Mass will be held at the Parish Center, adjacent to the Church, on Germantown Road. The tribute to West Milford’s first responders came about after September 11, 2001 as people became more aware of the critical role that emergency workers play in their lives. The desire of the parishioners of Saint Joseph Church to show their appreciation and give thanks has led to this annual Mass which is attended not only by friends and parish families, but also by many members of the emergency services. The fifth anniversary of 9/11 will be marked by prayerful remembrance of those lost and those who worked so valiantly to save lives. Saint Joseph Church lost several parishioners on 9/11 as well as a former pastor of the Church, Rev. Mychal Judge, O.F.M. who was serving as a New York City fire chaplain at the time of the attacks. Rev. Sigmund Peplowski, pastor, has extended an invitation to all who would like to attend. For any further information call the parish office at 973-697-6100.
