GREENWOOD LAKE — The Hackettstown Hatchery trap-netting crew set three Pennsylvania-style trap nets in Greenwood Lake in April. In seven days of trap-netting, 22 adult muskellunge were collected. The catch was split between 12 males and 10 females. The muskies were transported to the Hackettstown Hatchery where eggs were taken from seven of the ten females. All muskies were returned to Greenwood within three weeks. The largest was a 50-inch, 33-pound female. Six of the walleyes captured weighed eight pounds or more. The largest walleye weighed in at 9.5 pounds and measured 28.8 inches in length.
