Jaclynn Buchalski and Beth Lungaro, 2005 graduates of West Milford High School, were inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society at Ramapo College of New Jersey. ALD is an honor society that recognizes those students in their first year who have succeeded in earning a 3.5 or higher GPA. The mission of this honor society is to encourage superior academic achievement, to promote intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning, and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals for their unique roles in society. Katie Meyer was placed on the dean’s list for her academic achievement during the Fall 2005 (semester) at Temple University. The distinction is awarded to those students in the School of Social Administration Undergraduate Department who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better, and who have also achieved a 3.50 average or better for a minimum of 12 semester hours work during the past semester. Rebecca Moskin (WMHS Alumni 99) was recently chosen for membership in the Zeta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi at the State University of New York at New Paltz. Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education, elects those to membership who exhibit the ideals of scholarship, high personal standards, and promise in teaching and allied professions. Selection as a member of Kappa Delta Pi is based on high academic achievement, a commitment to education as a career, and a professional attitude that assures steady growth in the profession. Rebecca has also made the Chancellor’s List for two consecutive academic years. Being selected for nomination to The Chancellor’s List is an honor bestowed on outstanding college graduate students by the professors and teachers who know their work best. Because of the enthusiastic cooperation of these educators, The Chancellor’s List has already become the largest recognition publication in the nation honoring exceptional college graduate students.
