To the Editor: I wish to thank all my friends that helped to run a car wash on Saturday, September 10 in the parking lot of the Upper Greenwood Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corps to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. We raised $766, which is being donated to the American Red Cross. Thanks to Lowe's Home Center's Matching Fund our effort is worth twice as much with $1,532 going to the Red Cross. Thanks to Christal Torres, Ciara Torres, Tyler Schrober, Mathew Schrober, Daniel Kelly, George Kelly, Stephanie Paul, Maria Foley, Samantha Mays, Jacy DiZenzo, Kylie DiZenzo, Melissa Peters, Tiffany Genader, James Perratta, Catherine Sciarra, Lucas Zenser, Mateo Zenser, Callie Schultz, Lindsey Perez and some helpful adults including moms, dads and some nice people from the Ambulance Corps. I apologize if anybody was left out. I also wish to thank everybody that helped to publicize this event and to the Upper Greenwood Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corps for the use of their property. We had fun and it felt good to be able to help some of the people hurt by Hurricane Katrina. One more special thanks to my dad for helping me write this letter.
