TOTOWA - The Passaic County Veterans’ Division is offering information for free medical services and prescription plans for all war veterans. These programs are supported through the Federal Government. The Veteran’s Services office is located at Totowa Business Center, 930 Riverview Drive, Suite 200, Totowa. “We want to raise awareness of all federal, state and county programs,” said Freeholder Director Elease Evans. “It is important that veterans take advantage of their benefits and entitlements and we encourage them to do so.” Tom Miller, Passaic County Veterans Officer, is available to assist residents with information on high school diploma, DSM Service Medal, Korean and Vietnam Service Medal, hepatitis screening, diabetes 2 treatment, tuition programs and survivors’ benefits. He noted that veterans should make use of the new Veterans’ Clinic located at 11 Getty Ave. in Paterson. Registration and additional information for clinical services may be obtained by calling 973-297-1666. For more information or to request group presentations, contact Tom Miller at 973-569-4090.
