WEST MILFORD — Superintendent Glenn Kamp recently released the violence and vandalism figures for last year. The state requires every school district to compile these figures. Here is an overview of the 2004/05 school year: 27 incidents of violence 15 incidents of vandalism 1 incident of weapons 17 incidents of substance abuse Eight of the vandalism incidents involved costs to the district and the total of those costs was $5597. That's quite a bit higher than the average annual expense due to vandalism, which is $3557. However, it was exceeded by $1150 in the year 2002/03. There were also 65 incidents of students being given out-of-school suspensions
