Paul Aronsohn, left, was taking the scenic route Wednesday, and he hopes it leads to Washington. The Bergen County Democrat is challenging incumbent two-term Republican Congressman Scott Garrett of Wantage in the November elections. To spread his message and get acquainted with the 5th Congressional District, which includes all or part of Bergen, Passaic, Sussex and Morris counties, Aronsohn began walking the entire district, beginning in Tenafly on June 21. Wednesday, he finished walking through West Milford, taking Cherry Ridge Road - more a trail than a road - through Wawayanda State Park to Vernon. Accompanying him on Wednesday’s segment of the walk were campaign workers Daniel Schoenberg and Constantina Meis. Aronsohn said he’s personally knocked on more than 3,800 doors during the walk.
