WARWICK —The weather on Sunday, May 21, was touch and go but improved in time for the 20th annual Experimental Aviation Association (EAA), New Jersey Chapter 501, “Fly in” at Warwick Municipal Airport. Dark clouds and area forecasts of possible rainstorms, heavy winds and even hail caused visiting aircraft owners to opt for an early return to home base. Although the ultra-lights stayed in the hanger, many of the vintage bi-planes, home-built and other unique and interesting aircraft were flown it that morning. The static display also included aircraft owned by members of Warwick’s EAA Chapter 69 and the Warwick Valley Pilot’s Association, which maintains the local airport. The annual event is open to the public as a community service.
