Officer observed vehicle swerving over the fog line and center double yellow line. Driver subsequently arrested for DWI. P.O. Stephen Stratton 2/16/05 n Theft from vehicle n Airport Road Unknown actors removed camera and memory card from back seat of vehicle while parked at above location. P.O. Gary Yarnall 2/16/05 n Burglary/Theft n Cherry Ridge Road Between the hours of 0635 and 1640 unknown actors forcibly entered the residence through a rear door and removed a laptop and jewelry. Unknown value at this time. P.O. Stephen Singerline 2/16/05 n Theft n Highlander Drive (Macopin Middle School) Unknown actors unlawfully removed IPOD from unlocked locker at above location. P.O. Casey Casbarro 2/16/05 n Criminal Mischief n Germantown Road Homeowner stated that during the past couple days while he was away someone damaged his mailbox at above location. Mailbox struck with unknown object, leaving a large dent. Cost to replace is $15. P.O. William Pittelko 2/15/05 n Criminal Mischief n Secaucus Road Unknown actor in vehicle hit the mailbox at above location, breaking same. P.O. William Greer, Jr. 2/15/05 n Burglary/Theft n Hamburg Turnpike 2 Red Max backpacks and two chain saws (Stihl) taken from storage trailer at above location. Value $1660. P.O. Robert Tomaschek 2/15/05 n Poss./Consumption of alcoholic beverage n Highlander Dr (Macopin Middle School) Three juveniles (ages 12, 12, and 13) were in possession of iced tea bottle with approx. 6 oz. of whiskey. All girls were suspended for 3 days and 2 days in school when they return. All parents were notified. A male juvenile age 15 also was given detention for drinking it. P.O. Laura Paul 2/12/05 n Burglary/Theft to Motor Vehicle n Deal Road Between 1800 and 0913 hours unknown actors entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a wallet and approx. $240 in cash. P.O. Stephen Singerline 2/13/05 n Criminal Mischief n Otterhole Road Unknown actors used a large rock to damage windshield on 1995 Lexus parked at above location. P.O. Stephen Braikovich 2/21/05 n Criminal Mischief n Lakeshore Drive 2 wooden outdoor chairs taken from back yard, 1 chair found on the iced over lake behind home, broken into pieces. P.O. James DeVore 2/21/05 n Vehicle Fire n Airport Road Vehicle (unoccupied) was fully engulfed in flames when Officer arrived on scene at Greenwood Lake Airport. Greenwood Forest and UGL Fire companies responded to extinguish vehicle. P.O. John Pesenti 2/18/05 n Motor Vehicle Incident n Warwick Turnpike Kristen Preteroti, Hewitt, Age 21 Officer responded to the above location on report of an MVA. Upon arrival officer spoke to the driver who stated she slid off the road due to the snow. Her vehicle sustained no damage and she requested a tow truck. JR's towing responded. P.O. Thomas Celano 2/19/05 n Motor Vehicle Incident n Warwick Turnpike Francisco Acevedo, Paterson, Age 18 During a motor vehicle stop of the above vehicle, the officer found the driver to be on a provisional license operating after midnight with more than the maximum amount of passengers in the vehicle. Officer transported occupants to headquarters where parents were contacted and made arrangements for transportation home. Acevedo was issued summons for provisional driving infractions. P.O. James McDaniel 2/19/05 n Ice Rescue n Lake Park Terrace Kevin Romaine, Sterling Forest, NY, Age 47 Officer Carol Stelmach, Sgt. Richard Fiorilla, Ptl. Thomas Celano, West Milford Fire Departments and West Milford First Aid Squad were dispatched to Lake Park Terrace on an n ice rescue call. Upon arrival it was determined that the above was operating a 4 wheeler on the ice and fell into the water with his 4-wheeler. Driver (above) was assisted by his friends and brought to shore. WMFAS responded and transported him to Chilton Hospital. P.O. Carol Stelmach 2/21/05 n Criminal Mischief n Berry Lane Owen Harvey, Hewitt, Age 25 Accused (above) was charged with criminal mischief after a dispute with his parents whereby he kicked and damaged doors and items in the house. Subject released after being charged. P.O. David Vandalinda 2/20/05 n DWI n Union Valley Road James Labita, West Milford, Age 62 While on patrol officer observed the above traveling west on Marshall Hill Road swerving back and forth on the roadway crossing the double yellow lines. Drive was subsequently arrested for DWI. P.O. James McDaniel
