Feb. 6 - Criminal Mischief - Linwood Road Pink paint splatters located on rear and side of home at above location. It appears to have been done by paint balls. P.O. Robert Tomaschek. Feb. 10 - Theft - Germantown Road Officer Jill Brickman was dispatched to the above location on a report of a stolen mailbox. Sometime between 2/9/06 and 2/10/06 unknown actors removed the mailbox. No damage to the wooden post. P.O. Jill Brickman. Feb. 11 - House Fire - Snake Den Road Officer Jill Brickman dispatched to above location on a report of a house fire. Homeowner emptied the wood-burning stove onto the front porch. The front porch caught fire and the front of the home sustained minimal damage. Fire Company #4 on scene. P.O. Gregory Post and P.O. George Richnavsky also responded. P.O. Jill Brickman. Feb. 11 - DWI - Greenwood Lake Turnpike Verity Burke, Hewitt, age 27. On the above date at 0237 hours, Officer Gary Yarnall observed a 1988 Ford with NY registration strike the concrete curb in the Park and Ride located on Greenwood Lake Turnpike on two occasions while trying to exit the parking lot. Officer pulled into the lot behind vehicle, and vehicle pulled out onto Greenwood Lake Turnpike and headed north. At this time officer followed vehicle and observed vehicle drift across the fog line to the right of the roadway and then re entered its lane. After the vehicle drifter over the fog line and nearly struck a parked vehicle on the roadway the vehicle pulled into the Exxon Gas Station. At this time officer stopped vehicle and found driver to be DWI. Driver was issued summons for DWI, Refusal to submit to Breath Test and Failure to maintain a lane. P.O. Gary Yarnall. Feb. 11 - DWI/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Route 23 South Robert Weigand, Riverdale, Age 25 Officer Tyrus Hicks was traveling south on Route 23 north of Echo Lake Road in the left lane. Vehicle approached from behind in the right lane at a high rate of speed. Officer observed the above-mentioned vehicle (dark blue VW Jetta) come within inches of striking the vehicle in front of it. The Jetta then made an abrupt attempt to cut in front of patrol vehicle. At that point officer pulled behind the Jetta and stopped vehicle. Driver was asked to exit vehicle to do field sobriety tests. Officer observed a smell of burnt marijuana on him. Above subject (Weigand) was found to have drug paraphernalia in his possession and was arrested for same. P.O. Tyrus Hicks. Feb. 11 - Theft - Macopin Road ON the above date Officer Frank Elia was dispatched to the above location on a report of theft. Upon arrival the victim explained that she put the aluminum garbage can out for trash pickup and was unable to locate it after the trash was removed. P.O. Frank Elia Feb. 12 - Structure Fire - Timber Lane Sgt. John Matarese and P.O. Gregory Post responded to the above location on the report of a structure fire. The fire was coming from the garage. Sgt. Matarese extinguished the fire. Damage was done to the garage and snow blower. Victim said that he had just finished snow blowing his driveway and put the snow blower in the garage. Community Fire Company arrived on scene along with WMFAS #47. No injuries reported. P.O. Gregory Post Jr.
