April 15 - MVA/DWI - Warwick Turnpike #1 - James Krassowski, Hewitt, 52. #2 - Hardeep Athwal, West Caldwell, 55 D1 (operating a 1995 Oldsmobile) stated he stopped at the stop sign, checked both ways and did not see V2. He pulled into traffic and struck V2. D2 (operating a 2002 Honda MC) stated he was traveling north on Warwick Turnpike when V1 pulled into his lane and struck him. D2 taken to Chilton Hospital with shoulder injury. D1 issued summons for DWI. P.O. David VanDalinda April 15 - Assault by Auto/DWI - Warwick Turnpike/Lakeshore Road James A. Krassowski, Hewitt, 52 Officer was dispatched to the above location for an MVA. Upon arrival officer saw a 1995 Oldsmobile off the side of the road with a 2002 Honda Motorcycle wedged under the driver side front wheel. Accused said that he pulled out of Lakeshore onto Warwick Turnpike and did not see the motorcycle. When speaking to the above driver officer noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Accused was placed under arrest for DWI. Driver of MC (Navdeep Athwal) sustained an injury to his right shoulder and was transported to Chilton Hospital. P.O. David VanDalinda April 15 - Criminal Mischief - Macopin Road Officer observed tire tracks on the softball field of Bubbling Springs. P.O. Shannon Sommerville April 13 - Poss. of CDS/Poss. of drug paraphernalia - Oak Ridge/Bonter Road Jim Akers, Jefferson, Age 35 Officer observed the above van traveling south on oak ridge road. Vehicle plate lights were not functioning. Officer stopped vehicle and found driver to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested for possession of CDS in a motor vehicle. P.O. Tyrus Hicks April 13 - Brush Fire - Center St. While on patrol officer was dispatched to Center Street for a report of smoke in the area. Officer checked the area and located a brush fire in the Random Woods sand pit. Forest Fire service and WM Fire Company #6. responded to the fire. WM Fire Company #6 secured the scene. P.O. George Richnavsky April 10 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Warwick Turnpike William Stankevich III, Butler, 20 On the above date at 0135 am while traveling north on Warwick Turnpike, officer observed the above driving a 1991 Chevrolet, traveling south on Warwick Turnpike. Vehicle failed to dim its high beams to oncoming traffic. Officer made a U Turn and began to close the distance with said vehicle. Vehicle pulled over and officer activated emergency lights. Driver was approached and officer detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from within the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Driver was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia (glass pipe), Unregistered vehicle, Uninsured motor vehicle, improper use of headlights, fictitious plates and no front plate displayed. JR Towing impounded the vehicle. P.O. Gary Yarnall April 10 - DWI - Union Valley Rd. Dawn Clagett, Stockholm, Age 46 While on patrol officer was advised of a black Toyota pickup traveling north on Union Valley Road driving erratically. Officer observed vehicle to be swerving from the northbound lane into the southbound lane, over the fog line and back toward northbound lane. Officer activated emergency lights and stopped vehicle. While speaking with accused officer observed an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Driver was arrested for DWI. Vehicle impounded by JR Towing. P.O. Casey Casbarro April 10 - Criminal Mischief - Greenwood Lake Turnpike Unknown persons deflated front tire on vehicle left at above location. P.O. Lewis Rose April 9 - Criminal Mischief - Fairlawn Drive Unknown actors drove onto lawn then spun tires, damaging grass. P.O. Dennis O’Donnell
