James Devore March 17 - DWI - Marshall Hill Road (Shop Rite lot) John Kiba, West Milford, Age 45 Driver was seen by a passing motorist operating vehicle in a reckless manner. Officer was dispatched to the above location and found driver exiting his vehicle. Driver was arrested for DWI. P.O. Charles McQuaid March 16 - Possession of CDS/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Possession of hollow point bullets - St. Charles Place Viet Quoc Hoang Vo, Gardendale, NY, Age 23 Vu Minh Nguyen, Hadenville, NY, Age 26 Motor vehicle stop resulted in the arrest of the operator and the passenger for being in possession of CDS (marijuana), Drug Paraphernalia and 5 .45 cal. George Richnavsky March 15 - DWI/Careless Driving/Driving While Suspended - Route 23 N/Clinton Road Jose Velez, Highland Lakes, Age 53 Officer responded to a motor vehicle accident at Route 23 north and Clinton Road. Upon arrival officer spoke to both drivers. AT this time officer smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the above driver. Driver was arrested for DWI. P.O. Gregory Post, JR. March 15 - House/Ground fire - Phillips Road Officer responded to 8 Phillips Rd. on the report of woodchips and mulch on fire burning alongside the residence. Prior to officer’s arrival, several members of various fire companies were out at the scene attempting to extinguish the fire. Mulch and woodchips located alongside the house underneath the exhaust vent to a pellet stove inside the house ignited when sparks escaped from the vent landing on the dry material and were fanned by high winds. The burning mulch melted the vinyl siding and soffit on the house. P.O. John Pesenti March 14 - Burglary/Theft - Morsetown Road Victim reported that an unknown actor made entry, possibly through the front window and removed items from residence. Items removed were a television and a wine refrigerator. P.O. Bruce Lederman March 15 - Criminal Mischief - Clinton View Terrace Driver side tire of vehicle had tire punctured.
