    May 9 - MVA - Route 23 S #1 - Christopher Murdock, Sussex, Age 47 #2 - Alice Ritter, Sussex, Age 53 D1 stated he safely signaled and proceeded from the right lane of Route 23 South into the left. D1 reported V2 pulled within a foot of his rear bumper and began to incessantly beep the horn. D1 stated he was attempting to pass two dump trucks that were traveling in the right lane and signaled to change lanes when V2 drove to the left onto the center grass median and attempted to pass V1. at this time V2 swerved from the median into the left lane and struck V1 within the lane of travel. D2 stated V1 cut her off by changing from the right lane of travel of Route 23 South into the left. D2 admitted to driving near the rear of V1 and beeping but stated V1 slowed down. D2 stated V1 drove between both lanes and she believed the driver was purposefully doing this. D2 stated she pulled to the left to pass V1 and the vehicles collided in the lane of travel. D2 admitted she should not have tailgated or attempted to pass off the road. D2 issued summons for careless driving and tailgating. P.O. Stephen Singerline May 10 - DWI - Union Valley Road Kenneth E. Leone, West Milford, Age 47 While Lt. Coscia was responding to a report of a domestic dispute he observed a vehicle pass by at a high rate of speed. Dispatch had advised a vehicle matching this description had just left the dispute. Lt. Coscia observed the driver operating the vehicle in an erratic and careless manner. Vehicle was stopped and driver was found to be DWI and arrested for same. Lt. Michael Coscia May 11 - DWI - Union Valley Road Dana Serra, Hicksville, NY, Age 44 While at a serious motorcycle accident witnesses identified the above to be driving with the other motorcycle that crashed. Driver was observed to be intoxicated and was arrested for DWI. P.O. Michael Malfetti May 11 - DWI/Refusal to submit to breath test/Failure to maintain lane Jesus Rosa, Prospect Park, Age 25 While on patrol Sgt. James Paul received a radio transmission of a possible drunk driver in the vicinity of Tigermart Exxon on Lakeside Road. Officer Paul began to travel towards that area. While traveling northbound on Union Valley Road he observed a vehicle coming towards him in the southbound lane. As the vehicle passed he observed it to be the vehicle in question. While following the vehicle, he observed it to be swerving across the southbound lane and into the northbound lane. Vehicle was stopped and driver was observed to be under the influence.
