Dec. 24 – DWI – Macopin Road Michael Gillen, West Milford, Age 24 An anonymous caller notified headquarters of a suspected intoxicated driver traveling north on Macopin Road. Caller informed the dispatcher that the vehicle was being operated in a dangerous manner and had veered off the roadway in the area of Bracken Road. Sergeant Keith Ricciardi responded to the area with P.O. Casey Casbarro in an effort to locate the vehicle. The vehicle was located at the above location. Officers observed the interior of the vehicle illuminated and the driver was sleeping. Upon further investigation driver was subsequently charged with DWI. Sgt. Keith Ricciardi Dec. 24 – MVA – Ridge Road Robert Carney, West Milford, Age 24 Vehicle traveling north on Ridge Road. Driver stated he lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the centerline. The vehicle rotated counterclockwise, ran off the wet shoulder, struck a tree, fence and overturned in a yard on Ridge Road. Driver issued summons for Careless driving, Leaving the scene of an accident, and Failure to report an accident. P.O. Stephen Stratton Dec. 23 – DWI – Lincoln Ave. Craig W. Tully, West Milford, Age 39 Officer Laura Paul responded to above location for a report of a motor vehicle in the roadway blocking a driveway. Upon arrival P.O. Paul found driver to be in vehicle sleeping. When driver was awoken he was found to be DWI. Driver charged with DWI and Failure to park off roadway. P.O. Laura Paul Dec. 23 – DWI – Route 23 Elizabeth Lindsley, Vernon, Age 32 P.O. Bruce Lederman responded with P.O. Joseph Nevin to the above location on a report by an anonymous caller that was following the above mentioned driver on Route 23 and he reported the vehicle was being driven in an erratic manner. Officer Lederman observed the above and followed the vehicle. He observed it drifting from the lane of travel to the right crossing over the fog line into the shoulder. He initiated a MV stop and found the driver to be DWI, Driving while Suspended, Failing to maintain a lane and Driving in a Careless manner. P.O. Bruce Lederman Dec. 23 – DWI – Union Valley Road Alexander Popp, West Milford, Age 54 P.O. Michael Malfetti and P.O. Amy Hancock responded to the Reflection Lakes Apt. on the report of an intoxicated male driving a red van. Officers observed the vehicle (above) and found driver to be DWI. Driver was issued 7 summons for failure to maintain lane, unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle, driving while suspended, driving while intoxicated, failure to inspect and refusal to submit to breath test.
