    May 25 DWI n Route 23 John Chuprevich, Hewitt, Age 46 Butler Police advised West Milford Headquarters that a vehicle was being operated in an erratic manner on Route 23 North. P.O. Stephen Singerline observed the vehicle in the left lane of traffic swerving dramatically. Officer Singerline activated emergency lights and siren and the vehicle pulled to the right and slowly came to a stop on the right lane shoulder. Chuprevich was arrested for DWI, open container, failure to keep right, careless driving, throwing debris from the vehicle and following too closely. He was released to his parents and a court date was set for June 7. P.O. Stephen Singerline May 27 Theft by unlawful taking or disposition n Morsetown Road Victim reported that he stores his boat at the above location for the winter. He stored the boat in October of 2006. On this date he discovered the outdrive was missing. The outdrive will fit any V8 Mercury engine. Value $2000-$2500. P.O. George Richnavsky May 27 DWI n Charlottesburg Road Jennifer Dietrich, Hamburg, Age 21 On the above date shortly before midnight while on patrol P.O. Bruce Lederman observed a vehicle turn left on Route 23 and proceeded northbound in the southbound lane of travel. Driver (above) was arrested for DWI, disregard of a traffic control device, improper turn, driving the wrong way on a divided highway and driving under the influence with a minor as a passenger. She was released to a third party. P.O. Bruce Lederman May 28 MVA n Macopin Road #1 n Joseph Manno, Pompton Plains, DOB 39 #2 n James Pond, Stockholm, DOB 56 V1 was traveling north on Macopin Road in the area of Westbrook Road and V2 was traveling south on Macopin Road. V2 passed Westbrook Road, went around the bend, crossed over the double yellow lines, crossing onto the opposite lane of traffic and struck V1. V2 is at fault and stated that he hit his brakes but they locked up causing him to lose control and caused the accident. Both vehicles have a substantial amount of damage and all parties involved sustained injuries. Joseph Manno and a passenger taken to Chilton Hospital. P.O. Carol Stelmach May 29 MVA n Otterhole Road #1 n Henrietta Shafer, Stockholm, Age 35 #2 n Pedalcyclist (age 15) V1 driven by Henrietta Shafer was traveling south on Otterhole Road, involved in a collision with a bicycle at the intersection of Sanders Court. The bicycle had been traveling east on Sanders court and due to the fact that the bicycle had no brakes, the bicyclist could not stop at the intersection and traveled into Otterhole Road, causing the collision with V1.
