What to expect at this year's Autumn Lights Festival

    WEST MILFORD — The 12th annual Autumn Lights Festival is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 7, starting at 10 a.m. This year the Bald Eagle Square shopping area on Cahill Cross Road and Wine in the Woods are taking part. They will have vendors, music, entertainment, food and of course, fun!. Wine in the Woods is adding wine tasting opportunities and will specialize in fine crafts. To take the entire ALF circuit, start at the Presbyterian church on Union Valley Rd. where you’ll find their now-famous chicken barbecue, craft and merchandise vendors, plus great musical entertainment provided by Music at the Mission (adult contemporary). At town hall there will be dance, karate, musical entertainment, lots of vendors, the ALF headquarters civic groups and food. There will be potters doing demos, a few canine groups, face and pumpkin painting and free goodie bags loaded with coupons and special offers and giveaways. Cub Scout Pack 9 will hold a warm coat and eyeglass drive at the town hall venue. Cross the street and visit the West Milford Museum... Abe Lincoln is going to be there to tell you about the history of our town, plus you’ll see artifacts and photos of West Milford’s earlier years. At Pinecliff Lake lodge there will be Oktoberfest, where a Biergarten, authentic Oktoberfest food offerings and music await. Next to the lodge will be a motorcycle show sponsored by DandS Cycles of Pompton Lakes. Vendors, food, civic groups and music round out this exciting venue. Across the street, NandB Ranch will have pony rides, a hay maze, pumpkin patch plus more outdoor fun. Bearfort Shopping Village will be loaded with vendors of all types, plus civic groups and possibly a classic car show. Eden Farms will offer a haunted farm, hay maze, pony rides, petting zoo and hay rides. Free mini-golf games will be available at Evergreen Farm, plus kids can feed the goats, play in the pumpkin patch, and go for a hayride. The Greenwood Lake Airport will again host the Young Eagles Program provided by the Greenwood Lake Pilots Association, which offers kids up to age 18 free ground school training and an airplane ride. Music at the Mission will have evening entertainment.
