OAK RIDGE A 20-year-old was killed on Sunday in a one-car accident. On Dec. 17 about 6 p.m. the West Milford Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Bonter Road in the Oak Ridge section of West Milford. Police Officers George Richnavsky and Joh Pesenti arrived at the scene, where a vehicle had gone off the roadway and struck a tree. One of the occupants, later identified as Jonathan R. Klug, age 20, was severly injured. As the officers and other emergency service personnel work to free the young man from the wreckage, he died. Two other occupants in the vehicle, one of which was the 16-year-old driver, the other a 16-year-old passenger were taken to Morristown Memorial Hospital with non life threatening injuries. All of the vehicle’s occupants reside in Oak Ridge in Jefferson Township in Morris County. West Milford First Aid Squad, Community Fire Company, Chilton Hospital Paramedics and Northstar Medivac also responded. The incident is under investigation by the West Milford Crash Investigation Team and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
