West Milford — “We had an amazing turnout!” said Michelle Toale, one of the owners of Precision Dance Academy and an instructor of Zumba. Toale’s Zumba program held a free blast-off at the PAL building in West Milford recently. It was free and the building was filled with exuberant Zumba participants, over 100 people in all. And you can see from the looks on their faces, this isn’t your ordinary work out. No, quite the contrary. Zumba is lots of fun and a great work out. “We had raffles for free classes and free giveaways and prizes,” said Toale, who along with Christina Toale and Sandra Lee Schaublin taught the blast off class together. “We loved watching everyone smiling and having a great time. It was a very exciting event for us all. This kicked off a great start to my program.” The regular classes begin Monday, May 2, and are offered Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m., and Saturdays beginning May 14 at 9 a.m. Class packs are sold in groups of 10 for $60 or 20 for $100. Participants choose their classes. Enrollment forms are at the PAL building. Anyone interested can fill out the form and either leave it there or bring it to the first class. There is also a Facebook page, West Milford Zumba, where monthly schedules and master classes and updates will be posted. Questions? Email Toale at wmzumbalove@yahoo.com.
