To The editor: It is time for a change. We can no longer stand by and let Scott Garrett “represent” us. He’s not representing us. He has voted against so many things that the people of New Jersey want. For example, he voted against the Combating Austim Act. Why? He voted against the reauthorization of the Voting Rights Act. What? He voted against child safety locks on guns. What the? He voted against aid for Hurricane Katrina victims. Excuse me? He voted for increasing foreign ownership of US airlines. Really? He voted against funding for special education. What? Oh, I could go on and on. But I won’t. I’ll just ask that we act together for change. Let’s elect someone who will truly represent us who will work for the people of New Jersey. I have been lucky enough to meet Paul Aronsohn, and I think he’s up for the job. I hope you’ll join me in voting for him. I also hope that Scott Garrett will be man enough to participate in a debate with Paul. But I doubt it. Annie C. Ferreira Hewitt
