To the Editor: The county committee of the West Milford Township Passaic County Regular Republican Organization, Inc., Line A on the ballot, have begun our campaign for the primary June 6, 2006, election. One of our duties is to keep the residents, especially in their respective district, informed on issues and elections. This year we have a very important, maybe even a crucial issue, concerning all of West Milford Township and the State of New Jersey. Learning how the massive state and local property tax increases that would result from the state budget proposed by Governor Jon Corzine will hurt families and make New Jersey an even more unaffordable place to live. This is the action we can take right now — you can take and sign the anti-tax petition that is being circulated in all of our 13 districts by the County Committee of West Milford Township. This will show your disapproval of property tax increases. All of the county committee positions are up for election this year. We have to have a re-election every three years, and this is the year. If you don’t get a chance to sign a petition, call your present county committee and those who are running for election in place of the retired ones on the Passaic County Regular Republican Organization, Inc, Line A. This petition is one way of expressing our disapproval of how the state budget will affect our way of life. Please contact your County Committee running on the Passaic County Regular Republican Organization, Inc., Line A. Sign, call if necessary. Let’s fight back. Stop the tax hikes. We don’t need higher taxes! Doris Osterhoudt G.O.P. Municipal Chair Person
