To the editor: I am president of Mt. Laurel Beach Club and would like to make a plea to my neighbors. The club is located across from the ball field on Warwick Turnpike. It is a small community lake club that has existed for the last 40 years. It was once a crowded active gathering spot for our community in the Mt. Laurel neighborhood. As the years passed and everyone became so busy, membership has dwindled. There are few truly active members left and unfortunately it’s gotten more difficult to motivate folks to be active in our community. Its a lovely spot tucked from view and accessible from home in just a minute or two. Why fight the crowds driving across town or to the shore when all you could hope for is in your backyard?
