A silent hero in West Milford

I am writing on behalf of one West Milford’s silent and generous citizens, Abby Beyjoun.

People know her from her store, Abby’s Sew Right located at 1925 County Route 511 in West Milford, N.J.

Normally at this time of the year Abby would be busy altering prom dresses and designing wedding gowns for those happy occasions.

This year, the Coronavirus halted her business, but didn’t lock her doors.

She immediately put her skills and financial resources to serve the common good.

I volunteer at the Passaic County COVID-19 testing site in William Paterson College. Abby has sewn thousands of hand-made masks and donated, free of charge, to local hospital and all of the county volunteers.

She also has donated head bands and masks and to many of her friends and neighbors, including me.

It would be wonderful if the West Milford Messenger could show people in the town to her selfless efforts.

    Sincerely,

    Linda Antonucci
