I have lived in West Milford since 1971 with my family. The opportunity has come again for me to be a candidate for West Milford Town Council with Marilyn Lichtenberg. Last year, I had the privilege to run with Ada Erik. I know I can contribute to the growth and prosperity of our town in a different role. I have been working as a teacher for the past 37 years at West Milford High School as the marketing/DECA advisor/co-op coordinator, and I teach computer literacy courses. I have had the honor of being selected Teacher of the Year for the district and Passaic County. Recently, I had the honor of receiving the New Jersey DECA Hall of Fame award. I was also a nominee for the Princeton University for NJ Outstanding Teacher award. I have a bachelors degree in marketing, master's degree in education and 60 additional graduate credits. I have attended Laboratory Institute of Merchandising, Montclair State University, St. Peters College, University of Colorado, and Mary Grove College.
I have been given many professional and personal opportunities in life, and now I would like to give back to the West Milford community. Recently, I volunteered to serve on the Recycling and Beautification Committee, Heritage Committee, and CASA Committee.
I am very proud to live in West Milford, and I want other people to feel the same pride as I feel. When we have new residents move into our community, they should sense the pride we have living in West Milford.
When the time comes to vote at the primary election, please remember to vote for JoAnn Blom and Marilyn Lichtenberg for the West Milford Town Council.
