Closing fire company put everyone in harm's way

As you are all aware, this town has six fire departments, however what you may not know is that the town cannot close one of the departments without having three public hearings prior to one being shut down. The town stripped Company 2 of their trucks without any legal documentation. They were planning that Company 2 would join Apshawa Company 1; however they are putting up a tough fight. You can take a firefighter's truck away but you cannot take the passion which lies in their hearts away.

For some of these men, this is their home; firefighting is not just about volunteering for these men, it's a desire. So reading all these articles about this fire house being shut down is upsetting because these men drop everything once that pager goes off. Once they put their gear on, it's all about getting the people involved out of harm's way.

For this town to say they do not have enough man power is just wrong because they work well as a team and make sure every man goes home safely. However, this town just put everyone in harm's way for not having any man power in that area.
