I would like to introduce myself to the residents of West Milford that I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting. My name is Michele Dale and I am running as a Republican candidate for the West Milford Town Council on the “Principled Republican” line, Row C, in the June 4, 2013 primary.
I feel that after my life-long residency and extensive volunteer career, it was time for me to integrate my energy and passion into being a public servant. I was treasurer for the Upper Greenwood Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corps (UGLVAC)for three consecutive terms and I am currently in my second term as president. In this leadership role, I was able to assemble the committee that facilitated the purchase of a new ambulance for the West Milford Township Upper Greenwood Lake residents, and have played an intricate part in reducing costs on the behalf of the UGLVAC.
I have had the pleasure to reside in this beautiful township for 40 years, am a homeowner and plan on remaining an involved member of the community. I am humbled and honored to have the opportunity to give back to the community that I have spent my entire life in. West Milford has molded me into the woman I am today. From attending Maple Road Elementary to graduating West Milford High School, I am forever grateful for every lesson this township bestowed upon me. Whether it be camping in the woods next to a bon fire or dressed up at a corporate business meeting, I feel that growing up in this township is the reason I am a well-rounded and diversified woman. It is surreal to think that I am running for West Milford Town Council when the memories of riding my horses down Clinton Road, when it was still a dirt road, remains at the forefront of my memory.
I am a vice president of TD Bank, NA for 14 years, in where I manage over $225 million in high profile accounts. I believe that my proven skills in leadership ability, relationship management, business development, and data analysis will be extremely beneficial to the taxpayers if elected to the council. I want to be an intricate part of the success of this township, and being a part of West Milford’s governing body will allow me this privilege.
Being a life-long Highlander also affords me the advantage of having a home-grown network of residents to assist in finding solutions to issues that our township faces. This network continues to grow with each new introduction, whether it be in the front of your favorite supermarket or at your doorstep while on the campaign trail. If elected to the township council, this advantage will be utilized to empower the West Milford governing body and the people themselves, to better address the needs of the township as a whole.
I ask that you go to the polls on June 4 to show your support for me. Vote Row C - Michele Dale and Lou Signorino, West Milford “Principled Republican” candidates for town council.
