Lichtenberg is for the people

| 30 May 2012 | 06:09

Marilyn Lichtenberg is not a politician. She calls herself a "people-tician." She says there are more than three definitions for a politician and she doesn't fit into all the definitions.

One of the definitions is a seeker or holder of public office, who is more concerned about winning favor or retaining power than about maintaining principles; another is a person who engages in politics out of a wish for personal gain, and another is one who seeks personal or partisan gain, often by scheming and maneuvering. These definitions are definitely not Marilyn.

There is no word in the dictionary for a "people-tician." Marilyn claims a "people-tician" is someone who works to do what is best for the people and not patronize any one person or group. Her campaign is about local issues. She will evaluate all the positives and negatives and base her decisions on them.

I ask you to please vote for Marilyn Lichtenberg, the "people-tician" for our township council. She is running as a Golden Rule Republican on line E.
