Thanks for the support

On behalf of the doctors and staff at Greenwood Lake Animal Hospital, we would like to thank you for coming out en masse to support our fundraiser for our canine soldiers and their handlers. The day was a great success in so many ways. Captain Ken Fackina of the Wanaque Police Department and working dog Zula gave a lecture and demonstration on her keen sniffing skills. Five therapy dogs came to hang for the day to enjoy the festivities and attention. West Milford High School DECA students organized an amazing baked goods sale. The Girls Scouts sold countless boxes of cookies to be shipped to deployed soldiers. The veterinary clinic was booked solidly. Bob Cicero, vice president of US War Dogs Association, and his wife, Joanne, honored us by making an appearance. The community's generosity netted $3,500 which Frank Yevchak has used to purchase and mail requested supplies by our steadfast soldiers. Niki would have been proud!

Special thanks to all who participated including: Mayor Bettina Bieri, Dr. Eric Louer, Dr. Kathleen Price-Latini Technicians Patty O Shea, CVT, Jessica Schmidt, Lyndsay Frank, Tricia Donath, Ryan Louer and Laura Vis, Receptionists Lynn Gleeson, Elaine Mariani and Susan Butler; Logistics Carol Louer, Kevin Louer, Robert Taylor, John Chipman, Randy Yevchak and Cheryl Dill; Photographer Paul Natale; DECA students McKensie Donath, JoAnna Gleeson, Anna Latini, Pam Yevchak and Danielle Tobin; working dogs and handlers Ginny Tillman with O'Malley, Helen Remington with Knuckles, Eric Wunk with Biscuit, Joyce and Yale Harr with Fiona and Jeanine and William Stark with Damen; Girl Scout Troops 5302 and 4294 and Daisy Troop 94899.
