To the editor: Now that the Sunshine Act has been dropped by the township democrats, I find myself asking the following questions and coming to certain conclusions. Did the township democrats, especially the democrat council candidates Geist and Rauth really believe in the Sunshine Act to begin with? Or was it just a ploy to attempt to gain some sort of partisan advantage when it seems clear that they can’t win at the ballot box? I regret going to council meetings to witness the well-orchestrated and rehearsed statements embracing the Sunshine Act. It’s funny how zealous they were when depicting the so called benefits of the Sunshine Act only to have them fold up like a cheap camera. Edmund Burke must be rolling in his grave. So much for personal convictions. If I believed in something as strongly as the democrat council candidates claimed to have had, I would have trouble looking myself in the mirror. Gian P.
