To the editor: This is an open letter to the seniors at Bald Eagle Commons. We were recently informed of arrangements made by former Republican Municipal leader, Ms. Doris Osterhoudt, to have the candidates for the local election meet with you on Thursday, May 24 at 2 p.m. Unfortunately, this date and time was selected without anyone ever asking us about our availability. As such, we have pre-existing commitments and neither of us will be able to attend this meeting. We would welcome the opportunity to meet with you at another time to discuss local issues and to hear your concerns. We would also like you to meet with our terrific mayoral candidate, Ms. Bettina Bieri, and will be attempting to schedule meetings with you in the near future. It has been an honor to serve as your councilmen during these past two-plus years. Please understand that throughout the year, you can always contact us regarding any problems or concerns.
