To the editor: On Primary Day (June 6), I would like to remind the voters of West Milford that there is a clear choice if you are concerned about our rising property taxes: James Rauth and Jim Geist are the Democratic contenders for November’s election, and as average taxpayers, would like you to know they are as concerned about being able to afford to continue to live in West Milford as you are. The current Republican majority on our township council have proven again and again that they are not the leaders you may have expected them to be. Democrats Bob Nolan and James Warden have tried time and time again to address some of the pressing issues facing our township, only to be received with less than cool responses: in fact, many of their ideas are like cries in the wilderness, because their Republican colleagues cannot or will not even debate the tough issues.
