A beefsteak dinner was held on Sept. 25 at the West Milford Rescue Squad building to raise funds for the Babcock family who lost their home and dog in an Aug. 21 fire.
The beefsteak dinner was originally a fundraiser for the West Milford First Aid Squad, but the Babcock’s son-in-law, a rescue squad member, arranged to have the fundraiser redirected to the family.
Organizers sold 155 tickets, and more funds were raised through a 50-50 raffle and a tricky tray.
