Passaic County seeks poll workers for primary election

Elections. Passaic County is recruiting registered voters to serve as poll workers for the June 2 election, offering $300 for a full day of service supporting voting operations.

    The Passaic County Board of Elections is seeking poll workers for the June 2, 2026 election and is encouraging registered county voters to apply.

    Poll workers will receive $300 for the day and are responsible for supporting Election Day operations, including attending mandatory training, assisting voters, issuing ballots, operating electronic poll books, and helping set up and close polling locations.

    Workers are required to report at 5 a.m. and remain on duty until approximately 8:30 p.m.

    “Serving as a poll worker is one of the most direct ways a citizen can contribute to our democracy,” said Passaic County Commissioner Director Sandi Lazzara. “We are looking for responsible, community-minded individuals who want to make a real difference on Election Day.”

    To qualify, applicants must be registered voters in Passaic County.
